Virtual Harbor History Tour

The Cook County Historical Society offers free, in-person Harbor History Walking Tours from June to October. For those visiting in the off-season, unable to attend an in-person tour, or who want to revisit the area, this virtual version is available anytime.

The tour begins at the History Museum in downtown Grand Marais, and you will walk down to the Coast Guard Station with a tour guide. Visible relics of the past will be discussed and you will hear stories of this small harbor and community.

To learn more about in-person tours, visit our tour page here.

Harbor History Tours are supported by Minnesota’s Lake Superior Coastal Program.
